At the St. John Paul II Catholic Mission, each ministry is an opportunity to grow in faith and serve with love. We invite you to learn about the ministries in our parish and find a place where you can share your gifts in service to God and others.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Choirs<\/h5>
\n

The St. John Paul II Mission is blessed to have several choirs. No experience is necessary to participate, but you must have the desire to praise God! If you play an instrument, or you like to sing and would like to be part of our music ministry, please contact Carlos Hernandez, Choir Coordinator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
Eucharistic Guardians<\/h5>

Offers the opportunity for prayer, silence, and adoration as they reflect on their call to a deeper devotion to Our Lord and a more faithful Christian life.<\/p>\n

This ministry ensures that a member is present whenever the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Hospitality | Ushers<\/h5>

Provides guidance regarding seating, organization and taking up collections, and assistance in the offertory and Communion processions. Ushers are also called to answer a wide variety of questions and must be prepared to handle emergencies when the need arises.<\/p>\n

Anyone can participate in this ministry: men, women, children, and families.<\/p>\n

Lectors<\/h5>

Lectors are instruments for proclaiming the Word of God to the congregation. Training opportunities are provided to strengthen the efforts of our lectors. Anyone in high school or older may participate.<\/p>\n

Special Needs Children<\/h5>

Our Ministry for Families with Special Needs Children responds to the learning needs of students ages 3 to 14 as they learn about their Catholic faith. It is designed to provide support in a safe and positive environment, tailored to each child\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n

In addition, the ministry provides support to parents by sharing information about available resources and faith formation.<\/p>\n

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion<\/h5>

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion offer the Church\u2019s most precious gift to the assembly: the Body and Blood of Christ. Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist the priest and deacons in the distribution of Holy Communion during Mass.<\/p>\n

Altar Servers<\/h5>

Our Mission promotes and trains St. John Paul II parishioners to serve as Altar Servers and ensures consistency in the procedures used at weekend Masses. Servers are also trained for special events, such as Holy Week, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Christmas, and other special occasions.<\/p>\n
