First Communion

starting in first grade

To enroll your children in the catechetical preparation program for First Holy Communion, your family must be registered at the St. John Paul II Mission.

Preparation for this sacrament is conducted over two consecutive years:

  • First year: Formation takes place at home, guided by the parents, thus fostering growth in faith within the household.
  • Second year: Classes are held at the Mission, where children deepen their formation and prepare directly to receive the sacrament.

Generally, children begin this process when they are in the first grade.

First Holy Communion is an important step in the faith life of your child and your family. As a parish, we are committed to accompanying you in this formation process, providing the necessary tools for solid preparation.
